Message from Katie
Please bring your Encores for Choirs (the Blue Book) every week. If you have borrowed a choir copy, please put your number in it so that I know where they have gone. If you have your own, make sure you have your name in it.
I would like all the Christmas music back as soon as possible, please. If you can’t get be with us next week, could you ask someone to bring your music back for you.
Many thanks, Katie
And one from Jacquie (NB contents being added to this site so future posts will have live links to the parts, as before)
Dear Singers, welcome back! It was good to start singing again last week, and I hope you will enjoy the music we have prepared for you. There will be some you like, some you like less, and hopefully some you will love, but part of the joy of music is exploring new styles and new sounds and trying to find what the composer wants to say in each piece.
On Monday I intend to work on:
Matyas Seiber – 3 Hungarian Folksongs – the first one. The music for this will be ready for you on Monday. Parts here:
You can listen to it here:
https://youtu.be/vbRWsWWYL6M (this is for just female voices)
https://youtu.be/5z9yFWsZqMo (this is for mixed voices, although the quality isn’t brilliant)
April is in my mistress face
Turn Back, O man
And this is quite different:
The Teddy Bears’ picnic
Or we could do it like this:
When the Saints – arr. Rutter (the music for this will be ready on Monday)
A couple of recordings here – there are lots to listen to, all quite different!

Do remember to look at our website – all the parts and recordings will be there available in one place once David has had chance to add them. Thank you to David again for all his work in this. http://www.orwellsingers.co.uk
Look forward to seeing you next week,
